Emirates Printing Press (EPP), a pioneer printing house in Dubai, has won 5 prestigious Sappi European printers of the year awards at a gala award ceremony held on 29th May 2010 at Prague, Czech Republic.
EPP’s CEO, Mohamed Al Shirawi and Executive Director, Samuel Natarajan received the awards on behalf of the company including the GOLD and SILVER awards in the Web printed magazines category, BRONZE in the sheet-fed printed magazines category, SILVER in the books category and BRONZE in the brochures category. EPP is the only printer from the Middle East to have been nominated for the Sappi European printer of the year awards 2010.
The Sappi European Printer of the year awards have been considered the Oscars of the printing industry and this year over 2,000 entries from 852 printers in 34 European countries contested for these awards.
“It is a great honor to be ranked among the best printing presses in the Europe and Middle East. Winning both gold and silver in the web printed magazines category is a big recognition for us. The gold award that we have won will be nominated for the Sappi International Printers of the year awards,” said Al Shirawi

EPP has won 44 awards till date, both in international and local levels, including multiple Sappi European awards, multiple Dubai international print awards and CIPPI award. It was recently certified with PSO (Process Standard Offset) certification from Fogra based on ISO 12647-2 international standards making it the first commercial printer in the Middle East to achieve this.
