Al Shirawi US Chillers won Middle East Specialist Contractor of the Year at the MEP Awards 2010, held last night at the Westin in Dubai.
“Maintenance is an area of MEP that is growing in importance, along with energy efficiency. We are a heavy-tonnage chiller as well as an energy solutions provider. We eat, sleep and breathe chillers,” said Al Shirawi U.S. Chillers director Navin Valrani.
“Our speciality is to offer and maintain chilled water plants that beat the design parameters set by the OEMs. With the current economic climate, we see the scope for retrofitting increasing in future. Business is picking up, we are gaining market share, and we are looking forward to a really good 2011,” said Valrani.
The judges commented that this was probably the hardest category to adjudicate, given the wide range of specialists represented and the broad scope of services offered. Each submission demonstrated a highly skilled and specialised area of the MEP contracting business.
The winner is not only a maintenance company, but utilises the latest technology on behalf of its clients. Trusted by many top-end customers, it maintains an enviable reputation. The winner champions a customer-focused approach to field engineering and consultation services.
“This is carried out by industry- and factory-trained, certified engineers. Its commitment to its customers is that its solutions benefit the equipment end user, rather than the manufacturer.”
