Al Shirawi US Chillers won its third industry award in 4 years, by winning the GCC MEP Contractor/Service Provider of the Year at the Facilities Management Middle East Awards gala held at the Park Hyatt hotel on Tuesday night. “This is a very proud moment for US Chillers and the credit for this award goes to Dan Mizesko and his entire team. To win an award after a year of several notable achievements for the organization is really icing on the cake.” said Navin Valrani, Director at Al Shirawi US Chillers, who collected the award amid much fanfare.
The audience waited with baited breath as the winners of one of the most hotly contested categories were announced. The winners were judged by a prestigious panel of industry figureheads, selected from within the Middle East facilities management industry which included Mohammed A Khoory, General Manager of WASL Facilities Management Department, Alan Millin, chartered engineer and LEED accredited professional and Mick Dalton, past chairman of British Institute of FM and an independent strategic fm consultant.
Having won the MEP Specialist Contractor of the Year in 2007 and 2008, this award further reaffirmed US Chillers position as the leading chillers service provider in the region.
Al Shirawi US Chillers is a joint venture company between Al Shirawi in Dubai and U.S. Chiller services and has operating in the UAE since 2002. It provides specialist services for large tonnage centrifugal chillers, liquid chillers and energy solutions, with continuously growing district cooling industry.
The company specialises in the the repair, maintenance, retrofit and service of all OEM makes and models of large tonnage chillers ranging in size from 200 tonnes to 10,000 tonnes. It aims to provide a full system energy conservation approach that culminates in a complete energy conservation solution to make sure district cooling plants operate at or below the specified design KW per ton.
