Scania manufactures powerful and
compact marine diesel engines for pleasure craft, workboats, road ferries,
fishing vessels, pilot boats and passenger boats.
Scania´s marine engine range comprises three engine families with 9-, 12- and
14-litre displacements. The first two are in-line 6-cylinder engines and the
14-litre is a V8 unit. Output ranges from 200 to 800 hp for propulsion and
135-371 kW for marine auxiliary applications.
9-series
D9 and DI9 are water-cooled, 4-stroke diesel engines with direct
