Introduction to Scania
Buses
When
Scania developed their new Bus Chassis range, the main aim was to make it as
simple as possible to specify the right chassis for each application area. The
result was four Chassis classes, each developed to respond to its specific
requirements and needs.
U- class for City Traffic, Suburban and Inter City operations.
I - class suburban Traffic, Inter-city and Tourist Traffic operations
E - class tourist traffic where standards are high and long distances
H - class for difficult operating conditions
Public Transport in dense inner-city traffic, requires special sort of bus,
tourist operations where the bus covers long distances impose totally
different demands.
Scania have also made it easier for the body builder to built just the body
the customer wants, and hereto there are savings to be made because the
simpler the body building process, the shorter the lead time and the sooner
the bus can start earning its leaving. Not forgetting the After Sales part,
Scania have also introduced the service agreements whereas the customer can
block his operating cost for his next financial year in advance.
Reliability, durability and long interval between services are our
important benefits of the Scania coaches and buses
